Recreation
The California University of Pennsylvania will be hosting the 2009 Region 4 Recreation Tournament on February 14-16, 2009 at California, PA.
More than 25,000 students participate each year at the campus, regional and international recreation tournaments sponsored by ACUI's Recreation Program Team and Region 4, which establishes standards and procedures for tournament participation in numerous sports: Bowling, Clay Targets, Pocket Billiards, Table Tennis and more.
These recreation tournaments are designed to develop and stimulate interest in wholesome recreational activities that can supplement the academic life of the college student. Well-organized recreational, social and cultural programs on the campus can form the basis of sound lifelong leisure habits, which are an increasingly important consideration in modern living.
