This session will discuss the shift in philosophy that has transformed the Guerrieri University Center from a building that housed administrative offices to a building that is truly student centered. This session will explore the research that went into this revitalization process and the resuscitation of a building and how students are breathing new life into what we do.

"Green Wash" is a term used to describe the use of misleading information in marketing the environmental practices of companies and environmental benefits of "green products." Session will provide resources to help make educated purchasing and operational decisions in regards to environmental friendly and sustainable products.

In order to provide effective programs and services to a diverse constituency, students and staff in college unions and student activities must come together and learn to communicate. In this session, student staff, line employees, mid-managers, and senior-level officers in areas such as administration, finance, and management, campus life and program management, facilities and operations, and auxiliary services, will have the opportunity to explore the multiple ingredients of effective communication. In this 4-hour interactive educational session, we will cover topics of interpersonal and organizational communication to include management and organizational behavior, motivation, perception and individual differences, listening and rumors, and fierce conversations.
